As far as I can tell, the only other solution is to use the Xploder HDTV disc. Unfortunately, I have a very late model ps2 purchased around 2011 or so which I believe rules out using any custom software like FreeMCboot.
So, having lost faith in 480i processing, I began looking for ways to force 480p for ps2 games. In fact I was surprised to find that the iscan HD looked no better than the cheaper HDBox Pro. None of these devices have given me a satisfactory picture for 480i.
I have tried some video processors now, namely the iscan HD and several HDBox clones. Hello, I thought I would post here about getting 480p from my ps2.
